Rollyn is currently in beta. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data preservation, or error-free operation during the beta period. Use the app at your own risk.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rollyn. By using Rollyn, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
We collect only what is necessary to provide the app experience. This includes:
Your data is used solely to operate and improve Rollyn. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) and is shared with group members you explicitly join. Within a group, other members can see your name, profile photo, travel status, shared outfit plans, mood board posts, expense records, and group chat messages.

When you use AI-powered features (outfit generation, flight/hotel/transportation screenshot parsing), your images are sent to Google Gemini AI via Firebase Cloud Functions for processing. Background removal for clothing photos is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and does not send data externally. Images uploaded to your closet, outfits, mood boards, and profile are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
Rollyn requests access to your device camera to take photos of clothing items and scan travel confirmations. Rollyn also requests access to your photo library to select photos and screenshots. These permissions are only used when you actively choose to take or select a photo within the app.
On first launch, Rollyn may check your clipboard for invite links to help you join a group. iOS will display a system notification when this occurs. Clipboard data is only read to detect Rollyn invite links and is not stored or transmitted.
Rollyn stores limited data on your device to provide the app experience. This includes your onboarding state, notification preferences, and basic account identifiers for the Share Extension. Downloaded images are cached locally for performance and are automatically cleared after 7 days.
If you grant permission, Rollyn collects your device push notification token to deliver notifications about group activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
When you invite someone to a group by email, Rollyn sends an invitation email on your behalf to the email address you provide. The recipient's email address, your name, the group name, and an invite link are used to deliver the invitation.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you delete your account, your personal profile data, closet items, and outfit data are permanently removed from our systems. Content you contributed to shared groups (group chat messages, mood board posts, shared closet items, and expense records) may be retained as part of the group's shared history.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your profile information at any time within the app, and you can delete your account entirely from Settings. If you have questions about your data or wish to exercise your rights, contact us through the Help Center.
We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in and Firestore security rules to protect your data. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Rollyn is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe someone under 18 is using Rollyn, please contact us through the Help Center.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Rollyn after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected users via email and in-app notification within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. The notification will describe the nature of the breach, the types of data affected, the steps we are taking in response, and recommended actions you can take to protect yourself. We will also notify relevant regulatory authorities as required by applicable law.
